Cambridge countryside elopement

When I read Liubov’s first email about their Cambridge countryside elopement plans, I knew this afternoon with them is going to be very special. They met a few years ago when worked for the same company, fell in love and he proposed to her in Paris… Since then they dreamt about a very intimate, romantic wedding just for the two of them somewhere beautiful, surrounded by trees and meadows.

Elopement on the Cambridge countryside

It was raining heavily while we were waiting for them to arrive at Wandlebury Park Luckily it soon stopped and we had the most amazing sunshine, even if it lasted only for a short time.

Liubov was wearing a simply beautiful, elegant lace dress and had a gorgeous, natural and romantic bridal bouquet made by Feather and Ferns.

Quiet, intimate wedding

They took a long, relaxing walk in the forest first then found a beautiful meadow with tall, golden grass and the sun peeking through the branches of old trees – just the perfect spot for their ceremony. Their vows were carefully handwritten on handmade paper and they were both very emotional. Liubov cried when she was saying her vows then it was Alexander’s turn… Liubov looked even more emotional. It felt very special that they let us witness this beautiful moment of their lives.

After their first kiss and dance they took a quiet moment to reflect and enjoy the beginning of their new life chapter together…

It all shows you don’t have to have a big wedding to be married. Marriage is a commitment; celebrating it is separate, entirely up to you and can be as public or as private as the two of you would like it to be. You don’t need wedding favours, stationery, a massive cake or even a venue, or a band or caterers. All you ever need is just two humans in love.
