Cambridge intimate wedding photography
Sarah and Rob planned their Cambridge intimate wedding for the beginning of December… and noone knew if this could happen until few days before the wedding date! Luckily weddings were given the green light so all could go ahead as planned.
Sarah got ready in Cambridge with her mum and her friends, I cannot remember this much laughter on a bridal prep for a long time! The sun was shining, there was champagne, strawberries, what more could you ask for 🙂 she forgot the borrow an item for the day and one of her friends very creatively lent her a super long beaded bracelet – to wear around her ankle! How clever is that!!
Once everyone was ready, we drove to the beautiful church in a picturesque village, Abbotsley. They choose this church as it meant a lot to Sarah and Rob and they had lots of memories of it so it made the ceremony even more special. It is a beautiful 13th century church with amazing colours and architecture – not many windows though so Sarah and Rob had plenty of candles lit.
The ceremony was lovely and very emotional but also full of laughter – especially when they struggled to get the rings on.
Then they ran into some crazy amount of confetti, who knew that only a few guests can throw this much confetti on the newlyweds 🙂
Sarah and Rob drove back to Cambridge in their amazing little vintage car, lucky for me they did not drive very fast so I could park and get back to the hotel for their arrival just a moment before them. We took some photos by a Christmas tree and then headed to Midsummer House for dinner.
Midsummer House looks quite magical in the evening with all their lights on. There were some canapes and drinks first then Rob’s speech – again like the whole day, it was full of emotions and also very funny at the same time.
Thank you very much Sarah and Rob for having me, your day was magical!
